ABOUT US

The Electric Barn started as a commercial electrical contracting company in the early 1970’s. During the early 1980’s recession, after many contracting and manufacturing companies closed their doors for good, the owner found himself attending auctions for electrical supplies in order to cut expenses and keep his company in business. In 1994, after realizing the full market potential, Dave separated the salvage and recycling service from his contracting company and organized The Electric Barn.

The Electric Barn was established with three fulltime employees operating in a 3000 square foot warehouse in Somersworth, NH. Today, the company operations have expanded to 50,000 square feet of warehouse, 16 fulltime employees, and has become a well-known distributor of obsolete electric power distribution and control parts, materials, and apparatuses in new, used, and reconditioned conditions.

We strive to provide the highest quality of obsolete electrical supplies and the deepest product selection than any of our competitors. Furthermore, we aim to provide exceptional customer service accompanied by the highest degree of product knowledge and experience in the industry.
